First off, I hope your weight lifting is heavy weights, with few reps. Somewhere in the 4 to 6 rep range. That’s what you need to be doing to get size.
As for diet, overload on protein, protein and more protein along with complex carbs(oatmeal, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, etc) and avoid simple carbs (white bread, sugars, white flour, etc). The idea is to keep your insulin levels spiked at critical times on a consistant level (complex carbs take hours to digest…simple carbs are digested within an hour or so) and to keep protein in your blood stream at all times for muscle repair.
Don’t know your weight or height, but a simple rule when in a mass gaining stage is to have # grams of protein a day = your bodyweight x 1.5. So if you weight 200 lbs., shoot for 300 grams of protein a day.
Good luck on gaining muscle mass.
